Organ Concert by Professor Andrew Linn

TO MARK the appointment of Professor Andrew Linn to the post of Organist, you are cordially invited to his inaugural recital, which will feature the following programme:
The manuals and stops of St Mark's pipe organ

  • Chorale Preludes from the Schübler Collection – J S Bach (1685-1750)
  • Movements from the Canticle of the Rose suite – Alan Ridout(1934-96)
  • Four Weddings and a Funeral:
    • Wedding Day at Troldhaugen – Edvard Grieg (1843-1907)
    • Wedding March from Telemark – Traditional
    • Serenade – Derek Bourgeois (b 1941)
    • Trumpet March – Geoffrey Bush(1920-98)
    • Nimrod from the Enigma Variations – Edward Elgar (1857-1934)
  • Carillon Sortie – Henri Mulet (1878-1967)

Entrance will be free with a retiring collection. Refreshments will be available. All proceeds towards the St Mark’s Organ Fund.
