|THINGS WE’D RATHER NOT THINK ABOUT is the title of a series of Sunday 10.00am sermons and 6.00pm led reflections in which we are taking a fresh look at traditional Advent themes: death, judgement, dying, heaven & hell. These are challenging topics which faith invites us to engage with openly, honestly and hopefully. All welcome.
GENERAL SYNOD meets this week and will vote on the final amended version of legislation enabling women to be ordained as Bishops. You may find the following prayer helpful: Gracious, loving Lord, we look forward with hope and joyful anticipation to the time when men and women can serve you, and all people, equally in every task within your Church. Thank you that every position held and task done is valued by you and furthers your mission on earth. Thank you Lord for hearing our prayer. Amen. (WATCH)
