PLEDGES 2013 UPDATE – 54 responses to our Pledge Appeal have been received so far promising increased giving of £9,000 (including recovered tax) towards the target of £13,000 additional given income for 2013. The responses to date include 7 new pledges, 32 increases, 14 no changes and 1 decrease. This is very encouraging and grateful thanks to all who have responded so far. However, further increases are still needed if we are to maintain the work and service of this Church at current levels.  Consequently, if you have yet to respond, please think prayerfully and carefully about your response and return your pledge form as soon as possible. We need every church member to return a pledge form so that we can be sure of the level of expected income for this year. Packs have now been mailed out.  If you haven’t received one, spare Pledge Appeal packs including pledge forms can be found at the back of the church. Thanks, David Ryder – Treasurer.

SHROVE TUESDAY 12 February – Pancakes and Cabaret! We’ll be looking for all kinds of contributions to make this an evening all can enjoy! Following on from last year’s successful fund-raiser we shall also be holding a Mystery Prize Draw so please donate any “unwanted Christmas presents” or gifts. Details to follow…

CHRISTMAS DINNER Thanks to the efforts of The Christmas Team, 76 people did feast upon a turkey dinner (one each!) in the lounge and narthex on Christmas Day. A combination of a big effort, some Christmas magic, and a little bit of alchemy, meant lots of people who might otherwise have eaten alone went away happy for the third year running. If you can’t wait for the Messenger article, http://www.flickr.com/photos/53079662@N07/ will show you some more pictures.
