On Saturday 18 May we’re building on our successful parish weekend through a parish activity day:
Nurturing Community – ‘In the Spirit!’.
It will be another chance for everyone in the St Mark’s community to come together, relaxing in the familiar surroundings of our own building. There’ll be opportunities to share in worship and study, discussion and merriment, craft and music.
The day will largely draw on the rich and diverse array of talents within our own congregations, allowing us to continue to Nurture Community, deepening existing relationships and forging new ones. The day will lead into the ecumenical Pentecost service the following morning with several of the day’s workshops contributing to the worship from musical aspects to cupcakes!
The flyer has more details of what will be on offer for all ages. The timetable is still in draft form, but we’re aiming to start the day with a gathering over coffee from 9.30am with the first session at 10am, concluding with a closing worship at 3.30pm.
The programme has been designed to ensure that wherever possible families can take part together, if they wish to. In addition, there will be workshops and other activities to attract younger participants. Crèche and play provision can also be offered during workshops and worship gatherings. Please talk to Sue Hammersley about your family’s needs and we’ll do our best to accommodate them!
More information and booking form can be downloaded in the Flyer here. Or ask any of the planning team (Ian, Sue, Shan, Anne, Tanya and Alistair).
