ANNUAL REPORT reviewing the life of St Mark’s over the past twelve months is available, as are copies of the Financial Statements for 2012.
PARISH DAY On Saturday 18 May we’re building on our successful parish weekend with a parish activity day: Nurturing Community – ‘In the Spirit!’. The day will lead into the ecumenical Pentecost service the following morning with several of the day’s workshops contributing to the worship! The day will start at 9.30 am concluding with worship at 3.30 pm. The programme has been designed to ensure families can take part with workshops and other activities to attract younger participants. Crèche and play provision will also be available. Booking forms are available on the website and at the back. For info ask Ian, Sue, Shan, Anne, Tanya and Alistair.
NEIL KRAUSE, a former member of St. Mark’s now living in Australia, is seriously ill and will undergo surgery in May. Please keep Neil and Suzanne in your prayers.
|MICHELLE WATTAM, an experienced health professional working with older people, has agreed to be our next Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults Officer. Thank you, Michelle, we look forward to working with you to make St Mark’s a safe, affirming and fruitful place for all.

CONGRATULATIONS to Dilys and Lewis Noble, who became grandparents on 19th April to Florence May, weighing in at 8lbs. Baby and parents, Joe and Jojo, are doing well and we wish them all the best.

BROOMHALL BLITZ ON LITTER If you are concerned about the increase of litter in Broomhall and have an hour or so to spare today you are invited to join teams of volunteer street-cleaners. The AGM of SYMAAG (South Yorkshire Migration and Asylum Action Group) will be held at 7 pm on Tuesday 14 May at the Quaker Meeting House. Several asylum seekers will speak about their experience in their home country and in the UK. Tea/coffee from 6.30. All welcome.

ENOUGH FOOD FOR EVERYONE IF is the title of a big campaign by Christian Aid and others to put pressure on world leaders to tackle world hunger. Show your support in advance of the G8 Summit in Northern Ireland by travelling to London on June 8th. Look out in the next weeks for more information and for cards to send to David Cameron.
CHRISTIAN AID MAY DAY WALK on Monday 6 May. There’s a group of ten of us so far for the 5, 10 or 15 mile walk. The 5 mile walk is suitable for families with young children. There’s space in cars if you need a lift. Further details/to register:
