THE ANNUAL CHRISTIAN AID CAROL SINGING event in the city centre is on Saturday 6th December. The time slot for St Mark’s is 2.30pm – 3.30pm. It’s great fun, gets you in the Christmas mood and cheers up the passing shoppers. Last year’s event raised £1,470. Please contact Alison (tel: 2214578) for further details.

AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL GREETINGS CARD CAMPAIGN 2014 After Parish Eucharist NEXT SUNDAY you’ll be able to sign greetings cards to prisoners of conscience and detained human rights activists. Please bring small cards or postcards suitable for air mail post. It takes only a few minutes to send a message of hope to someone in solitary confinement who thinks they have been forgotten.

MEN 50+ NEEDED FOR STROKE RESEARCH We need men 50+ for a research project on language! The results will provide important information about language difficulties that result from stroke. The study takes place at the Department of Human Communication Sciences and takes no more than 45 minutes to complete. In order to take part, you must be between 50 and 80 years old, be a native speaker of British English, have no history of speech or language difficulties and no history of mental health disorders.
