ANNUAL PAROCHIAL CHURCH MEETINGSWednesday 29 April 7.00pm with refreshments from 6.30.  The APCM is our annual meeting where we agree how the church will be run over the next year, approve our accounts and elect members of the PCC and other lay representatives. All welcome, but you must be on the electoral roll to vote (see Pete Ryder for more information). Nomination forms are available from the back of church and should be submitted prior to the APCM.

MEETING OF PARISHIONERS to elect churchwardens.  Nomination forms are available from churchwardens and must be submitted prior to the meeting. This meeting precedes the APCM.

AN EVENING OF SONGS FROM THE SHOWS Saturday 25 April2015, 7.30pm at Wesley Hall, Crookes. Join us for an informal evening of music and singing, all profits to Wesley Hall Roof Repair Fund.  Tickets £6 adults, £4 concessions, family ticket £12 (1 adult and 2+ children, or 2 adults and 1+ child), on the door in advance at 07894 156618.

STUDENT AND YOUNG ADULT WEEKEND AWAY! 24th-26th April at Ashbourne Methodist Church residential centre. £35. A chance to get to know each other, go on walks etc. See Ceri or email cerigallivan@hotmail.co.uk for info.

ORGAN RECITAL Friday 1 May, 7.30pm to give thanks for all those involved in the organ restoration.  Entrance is free, but you will need a ticket – please see Briony.

PCN’S SPRING CONFERENCE is at Bloomsbury Central Baptist Church, on Saturday, 9 May 2015 from 11am to 4.15 pm. It will be led by Mark Oakley, Canon Chancellor of St Paul’s Cathedral, on the theme “A DAY IN THE FOUNTAIN: exploring poetry”. Book at www.pcnbritain.org.uk.

DIOCESAN VISIT TO GERMANY IN OCTOBER 2015 – COME AND JOIN US! The Diocese of Sheffield Hattingen Witten Link invites you to join a group visiting our partner diocese in the Ruhr area of Germany.  We will travel via coach and overnight ferry on Friday 23rd October and will return to Sheffield on Saturday 30th October.The cost will be in the region of £200 inclusive.  If you would like a booking form, or would like to find out more, please contact Revd Sue Hobley, 01709 872299, or email vicar@wathparishchurch.co.uk

PLANT SALE  Are you planting seeds or taking cuttings? If you have more than you need, and which are ready too early for the Broomhill Festival, please bring them to sell after church on 26 April.  All proceeds to church funds.                     

PARISH WEEKEND  – PROVING POPULAR!Bookings are going well for this and places are limited.  To come along to what will be a wonderful weekend together, please book early.

It will be at the Hayes Conference Centre, Swanwick, on 18-20 September 2015!  Please see the flyers at the back.  LEARN AND BOOST CHURCH FUNDS Join one of our Enneagram Workshops.  Some people bid at the Auction of Promises for a place on a Workshop.  We now have three planned with places available on all of them: 30 May, 18 July or 17 October. Come along and have fun and learn! (minimum fee of £8 each – donations above this very welcome to support church outreach and Parish Weekend).  A leaflet at the back of church will give you more information, or have a chat with Jane or Anne Padget.

HUSTINGS Come and question candidatesin Sheffield Central Constituency.  This will take place at Broomhall Centre, Broomspring Lane on Sunday 19th April at 4.00pm – 6.00pm for the General Election on 7th May.  Please see poster in the foyer for more details or contact David Price on 296 0806.

MUSICIANS: ST MARK’S NEEDS YOU! Do you sing in the shower? How would you like to sing in St Mark’s Choir instead? We rehearse weekly on Thursdays, 6.30-8pm to prepare for our contributions to Sunday morning worship. Do you play an instrument? How would you like to lead the music at a Sunday morning Service or a Night Service? St Mark’s is looking to hear more and more from our talented congregation, and to get all of our musicians involved!
