RAINBOW WEEKEND

Thank you to everyone who was involved in setting up the stall at Sheffield Pride, helping with the Services and with last Sunday’s barbeque.  We were privileged to share some extraordinary conversations about faith and heartache with a whole range of people.  It reminded us what mission might look like.  Inclusivity is not an easy path: it challenges us to value those we are at odds with. We still have a long way to go if we are to embrace this fully here at St Mark’s but it is a privilege to be walking this way together.  Sue

HELPING ASYLUM SEEKERS It is good to have asylum seekers within our congregation. We are looking for more volunteers who can help with signposting people to appropriate sources of help and in other ways. Training and support are available.  Please contact David Price  davidprice2@googlemail.com

Sheffield Taxi Drivers have offered their services again, participants have started booking, but raising the £3k-£4k to achieve last summer’s success will be a challenge.  The partnership with groups in Broomhill made a big difference last year – please help in whatever way you can, including fund-raising events.  To donate go to their Facebook page at http://m.gofund.me/28arg84 or pick up a donation form at the back of church.
