RUTLAND HOTEL CAR PARKING The Hotel will be charging £5 per day every day for car parking from December. Don’t get caught out! Park on Crescent on Sundays. Sue

POSADA @St Mark’s. During Advent, Mary and Joseph (nativity figures) will stay at people’s homes for a night or two, and then they are passed on. The people receiving the figures often thank those who bring them by offering hospitality if they can, perhaps a drink or a meal. If you’d like to act as hosts please sign up on the sheet at the back of church – and if you can help with organising the project (esp the logistics) please let me know! Sarah C

A COFFEE & CAKE MORNING will be held at St Mark’s on Sat 25 November at 10am to raise funds for a colleague whose family were severely injured in the Manchester Terror attack and will need their home adapting for when they leave hospital. CAROL SINGERS REQUIRED. Yes, it’s that time of the year already! CHRISTIAN AID will be singing carols in the centre of town in Fargate on Saturday December 2nd. St.Mark’s has been allotted the hour between 2.30 and 3.30p.m. Please come and bear witness to the Christmas story. No need to be an expert singer! ABBEYDALE SINGERS CHRISTMAS CONCERT – here at St Mark’s on Saturday 9 December 2017 at 7.30 pm. A blend of superb and sublime sacred and secular festive music with wonderful singing from one of the best choirs in Sheffield. See poster in church entrance. AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL. Leading up to Amnesty’s Greetings Card Campaign on Sunday, 10 December 2017, Amnesty cards will be on sale for the previous two Sundays (26 November and 3 December) alongside cards for Oxfam and Christian Aid. Robin Story

PILGRIM GROUP now meets monthly on the 2nd Thursday so will meet again on Thurs 14 Dec. We listen and learn from one another using the CofE Pilgrim booklets as a guide for conversation. Interested in joining? See Sue/Sarah

THE ST MARK’S GREAT GET TOGETHER 2018 will be on Saturday 16 June as part of the Broomhill Festival (16-24 June). It would be wise to gather a steering group together to start planning and identify who will take the lead on different aspects of the day – i.e. delegate! The clergy team can’t organise this event as Sue/Sarah will be away for much of the week before. Could you be part of such a planning group? If so, please contact Sarah C.

EXERCISE CLASS FOR WOMEN If you are 50 or over and would like to improve fitness with a great group and a fun loving teacher. £4 a session on Tuesday afternoons 3-4pm and Friday mornings 9.30-10.30am followed by fellowship over coffee at St. Stephens Methodist Church, Crosspool. Talk to Jane Padget if this interests you.
