CHRISTIAN AID MAY DAY TREK Help raise money to tackle some of the root causes and effects of poverty across the world. 6 or 11 mile sponsored circular walk starting 10 am from St. Luke’s, Lodge Moor. END HUNGER CAMPAIGN  The PCC has endorsed the following pledge: We commit to do what we can to end hunger locally, and to call on the UK government to play its part in ending hunger in the UK.’  St Mark’s supports both the S2 and S6 food banks We are also notifying Paul Blomfield MP of our support for the national campaign for Government policies which will bring an end to the need for food banks.  David P

GREAT GET TOGETHER  SATURDAY 16 JUNE We’ve got lots of plans for the day, but we need willing volunteers for any of them to actually become a reality! We need:

  • Planning group members x 2
  • Friday helpers to set up indoors
  • Morning car park attendant
  • A team to help set up stalls on the Green
  • Smoothie bike staff x 2(no bike riding involved!)
  • General ‘runners’ x 2
  • Two teams to help clear away inside & on the Green
