ROY GODDEN it is with deep sadness that we share the news that Roy died last Tuesday. He has contributed so much to the life of this community over many years and will be greatly missed. SHEFFIELD FOLK FOR GAZA/SIMON’S BIRTHDAY DO Believe it or not Simon Ennals has a birthday in Nov that ends in a ‘0’!! To celebrate this a bunch of excellent local Sheffield musicians will be holding a folk concert on Saturday November 10th in St Marks Church to raise money for the hospital in Gaza city. Tickets £10 in advance from Simon and Tanya today in church or on Eventbrite (or £12 on the door).

 FRAGMENTS OF WAR will be performed at The Sheffield College (8 Nov), Kelham Island Museum (15 Nov) and St Marys Church Walkley (16 Nov). For each ticket sold the company will make a contribution to “British Red Cross” to recognise their efforts during the war. ALL SOULS COMMEMORATION SERVICE this year will be held at 6pm on Sunday 4 November – please pass the word around as all are welcome to come and remember loved ones.  A list is available at the back of church for you to write the names of those you would like to be remembered aloud. DIRECTOR OF MUSIC We are delighted to announce the appointment of David Willington as Director of Music and Organist.  David has a breadth of skills and musical experience to share and we are encouraging him to take a creative look at how we might develop musically.  We look forward to him starting at the beginning of November.  Sue/Sarah/Shan
