DONATE OLD LAPTOPS to support schools in South Africa – Tyume Valley Schools, a local charity supporting schools in remote parts of the Eastern Cape, recently had some laptops stolen. SHEFFIELD FOLK FOR GAZA/SIMON’S BIRTHDAY DO A folk concert on here on Saturday Nov 10 to raise money for the hospital in Gaza city. Tickets £10 in advance from Simon and Tanya today in church or on Eventbrite (or £12 on the door).

FRAGMENTS OF WAR will be performed at Sheffield College (8 Nov), Kelham Island Museum (15 Nov) & St Marys Church Walkley (16 Nov). For each ticket sold the company will make a contribution to the British Red Cross to recognise their efforts during the war. Contact: fragmentsofwar2018@gmail.com

DIRECTOR OF MUSIC We are delighted to announce the appointment of David Willington as Director of Music and Organist.  David has a breadth of skills and musical experience to share and we are encouraging him to take a creative look at how we might develop musically.  We look forward to him starting at the beginning of November.  Sue/Sarah/Shan

ASSIST NIGHT SHELTER Do you know anyone who could help with the ASSIST night shelter one or two nights a month. They are urgently in need of more volunteers to keep the shelter open and prevent destitute asylum seekers from having to sleep on the streets. Contact volunteer@assistsheffield.org.uk
