Posada is a Mexican Advent celebration in which two young people dressed as Mary and Joseph travel from house to house to proclaim the imminent arrival of Jesus and request that the newborn baby be given a room.
This idea has been adapted so that nativity figures travel from place to place, staying with different people. We have three sets out and about, staying in homes as well as visiting schools, the library etc; the knitted set (above) have been lovingly made by members of the church. They will all eventually arrive back in church on Christmas Eve.
If you’d like to get involved, we are still looking for hosts for the week before Christmas. Please contact the church office.
