FANCY A SING? Join the choir for Simple Gifts, featuring flutes, piccolo, glockenspiel, suitable for all ages. Choir practice Thurs 31 Jan 6.30-8pm. Children & young people who would like to join in please come upstairs with a parent/ carer after the service 3 Feb to learn the song – and arrive at 9.45 on the day.  David W & Hannah J

Bishop Pete visits Hallam Deanery Sat May 4. This is an open meeting so please hold the date. He will focus on the new Diocesan Strategy and financial challenges alongside prayer for the Diocese. BERYL & ROY BARRY greatly appreciate the support they receive from family & friends. Roy now needs an increased level of care and Beryl visits him most days in a nearby nursing home . VIGIL EUCHARIST New Mission Partnership monthly service beginning Sat Feb 16 at St Mary’s Walkley at 5.30pm. Formal liturgy (east facing) in a relaxed environment, followed by trip to the pub.  A safe space to learn/try out new different roles and teach others eg. Intercessors, thurifer, cantor etc. For more info see Sarah C

ST MARK’S CRC SEMINAR EVENING.  The next Seminar Evening will be on Weds 27 Feb, 7pm in the Upper Room, when Ela Nutu-Hall – currently with us on placement – will be talking about Framing Judith, sharing her work on biblical art and gender perspective. She will also be talking about this with Melvyn Bragg on In Our Time on February 14! John Schofield 

SUPPORT FOR REFUGEES IN CALAIS A lorry organised by Care4Calais is going from Sheffield on Feb 9, to refugee camps in Calais. Please bringing clothes NEXT SUNDAY ONLY (eg men jeans, boxer shorts, sleeping bags, socks, gloves – full list on Care4Calais website). You can also donate money to me.
