KIM WILLIS died peacefully at St Luke’s Hospice on Saturday 30 March.  Mike is grateful for all your messages of love and support throughout Kim’s short illness.  Her funeral will be held here at St Mark’s on Maundy Thursday, 18 April, at 12.30pm.  If you would like to bake a cake to share after the service, please let Sarah in the office know. CURATE coming to St Mark’s.  Over the Easter period we will be welcoming Caitlin Thomson, a curate who has already served two years of her curacy in Rotherham.  Caitlin will have a particular focus on Night Service.  We are excited by the opportunities this presents. Sue, Sarah & Shan.

DONATIONS BY TEXT to St Marks have raised about £100 since it was launched. Unfortunately the supplier has closed.  We now have a new provider, and a new number. The service is a little more flexible as it supports donations up to £20. To make a donation, text ‘STMARKS 5’ to 70085 to donate £5. This costs £5 plus a std rate msg. Alternatively, you can opt to give any whole amount up to £20. Thanks!

VIGIL EUCHARIST Mission Partnership monthly service at St Mary’s Walkley at 5.30pm on 13 April. Formal liturgy (east facing) in a relaxed environment, followed by trip to the pub.  A safe space to learn/try out new different roles and teach others eg. Intercessors, thurifer, cantor etc. For more info see Sarah C

ENCOUNTER CHRISTIANITY is an 8 week small group for new Christians. Facilitated by Robyn Vesey and based on two books: Never a Stranger by Brother Emile of Taizé, and With Open Hands by Henri Nouwen, biblical stories and spiritual reflections engage how encountering faith impacts our lives. Saturdays 9.30-11.30am at the Vicarage on May 11, 18, June 1, 8, 22, 29 and July 6, 13. Contact Sarah R in the office to express interest. Robyn
