This year St Mark’s Church celebrates 50 years since its post war rebuild. Please join us for the celebrations which begin this summer with a sermon series preached by previous clergy and reach a peak in September with a birthday weekend extravaganza! See attached flyer for more details.
Friday 27 September at 7.00 pm
Book Launch: A History of St Mark’s
Speakers: Michael Adie, Peter Pace, David Price & Richard Taylor.
Saturday 28 September
10.00 – 4.00 pm St Silas Open Day – A rare opportunity to look around our other Parish Church!
7.30 pm – Anniversary Concert – A celebration of musical composition by members of St Mark’s featuring works by St Mark’s musicians past and present, including songs from Cousin John and Lionstale. If you would like to be part of it, there will be rehearsals as follows: after choir practice on Thursday 19 September; after 10.00 service on Sunday 22 September; on the day at 4.00pm. Or see Eve Saunders, David Sanderson or Frances Gray.
