Soup Run is a service that we provide to homeless people in the area as part of a wider service offered throughout the week by several churches. We provide soup, sandwiches and clothes every Saturday evening. We meet in St Mark’s at 5.30 pm to prepare the food then we go to Castle Market at 6.30 pm and stay for an hour serving food and talking to those who come. After washing up, we are usually finished by 8.00 pm.

There are four teams – one to do each week in the month – then the rota starts over. We are always looking for extra volunteers, so if you are interested or have any questions, please contact Jen Ryder at
