Consultation on St Mark’s engagement with Social Justice – Saturday 2 February 2013

People at St Mark’s have long seen a need to relate their faith to social action. Since the early 1990s, the Social Responsibility Group (SRG) has been the church’s umbrella body for activities of this kind, though SRG has not had an exclusive role, There is now a need to review not just the role of SRG but more generally how people at St Mark’s can engage with issues of social justice.

There will be a consultation at church on Saturday 2 February from 10am to 1pm .

Tea and coffee will be available from 9.30am.

Ruth Shelton, former Social Responsibility Officer of Southwell Diocese and current Director of Emmanuel  House Centre for the Homeless, will be coming to contribute her own experience and act as facilitator.

It is hoped that many of St Mark’s congregation will wish to join in this important  discussion. If you can attend, please inform David Price .
