A wonderful smell of food and a lot of cheerful noise!  What’s happening in the church lounge at 12 noon on Wednesdays?

St Mark’s Lunch and Friendship Club meets weekly during term time and welcomes people over 60 to a two-course lunch followed by music, a speaker, or home-made entertainment.  Our chief aim is to offer an opportunity for older people who live alone to get out and meet others.  We also have the occasional theatre trip.

The club is run by volunteers and there is sometimes a waiting list such is its popularity!   New members are often referred  by the Community Worker with Older People in Broomhill and Broomhall, or by Agewell.  Or you can simply ask to join by contacting Rosalind Rogerson on 268 1426 to find out more. Please don’t be put off if mobility is a problem, we can arrange transport for you.
