This provides a brief overview of the work discussed at the PCC meeting on 9 July 2014.
- Strategic Review of Finances
- World War 1 Centenary Commemorations
– a working group has been set up to consider how we as a church should mark this in November 2014.
– following the success of the last Parish Weekend and feedback from the congregation, our planning group is exploring how to take this forward, thinking particularly about how we might draw on existing expertise within the congregation.
– Jane Padget will resume her position as PCC Secretary temporarily, supported by Kim Willis as Assistant Secretary. Jane Keeling will be taking over from Deni Ennals as Children’s Safeguarding Officer from August 2014. Many thanks to Helen Gregory and Deni for their contribution to these roles.– in preparation for our 2015 budget, a considerable part of the meeting focused on how we spend our money as a church. This will be discussed further at the Finance and Fabric Committee meeting in September.
