In 2021 our Lent course will, because of Covid-19 restrictions, be entirely on Zoom.
The course we are using this year is Living with a world of difference.
Written by USPG (United Society Partners in the Gospel), Living with a world of difference, looks at issues of diversity and inclusion in different parts of the worldwide Anglican Communion. There are stories and examples, from Aotearoa, New Zealand and Polynesia; Brazil; Sri Lanka; Tanzania; and South London. Each example is linked to a Bible passage for studying, and everything is used to lead us back into examining our own situation and experience.
If you are interested in taking part, please send an email to Sarah Rousseau, firstname.lastname@example.org, letting us know, and also indicating the times of day and days of the week when you would be available.
Details about which group you will be allocated to, and who will be facilitating it, will be sent to you by the beginning of February. This will be organised in much the same way as the breakout groups which meet on Sundays after Zoom Church, and which have proved to be a greatly appreciated way of getting to know more people.
There are two ways of accessing the material.
- Download it from the USPG website, a PDF version is available here.
- Complete the form on the USPG website and ask them to send you a printed copy of the booklet (please note that the resources we are using are from 2020 – the title is ‘Living with a world of Difference’) Allow at least 5 days for delivery. This might be helpful particularly for people who can’t join in the Zoom meeting on one device while looking at the material on another.
Either way, as the material is free, it would be greatly appreciated if you could make a small donation to USPG.
