LLF FOCUS GROUP – Did you participate or facilitate an LLF Course in the Mission Area? As part of the national evaluation of LLF, Church Army’s Research Unit (CARU)  have been commissioned to research the experience of those who have participated in or completed the LLF course. CARU will be hosting focus groups across the country in Spring 2022 but we need your help in making sure the groups provide an important insight into the experience of being part of a course. Lu Skerratt-Love and John Tomlinson are the lead researchers on this project and are hosting a pilot focus group on Wednesday 1 December from 7-9pm in the Lounge at St Mark’s. We would love for a small group to attend so we can hear your views. If you’d like to know more or are interested in participating, email Lu at [email protected]

ADVENT WINDOWS – We’re wondering whether it’s possible to do Advent Windows again this year. Lots of people who took part last year have had a change in circumstances (lovely new babies, moved house etc) so we would need new people to take part. Let me know if you’re interested! Jen Ryder

FURTHER OPPORTUNITIES TO WORSHIP IN THE CHURCH BUILDING – We are delighted to let you know that from now on there will be a service in the church building every Sunday at 10am. NEW OPERATIONS CO-ORDINATOR – Zoë Varcoe has now formally started work in the office and is looking forward to meeting you all over the coming weeks. Jane

A HUGE THANK YOU to Jane who is now taking a well-earned break having held the fort in the office as acting administrator for much longer than she anticipated when she volunteered! In this time she has not only kept us afloat, but also helped us progress and develop some aspects of the role leaving it in a strong position for Zoë to pick up and continue. Thank you Jane from all of us, and we are delighted to know you are around to support Zoë if needed!  Sue, Shan, Beth and the PCC

Commitment is just once in 6 weeks and we’re flexible about swaps.  Please speak to Jean Baxter or e-mail her [email protected] to learn more!

ZOOM WELCOME TEAM ARE LOOKING FOR MORE MEMBERS – Would you like to be involved in the services from the comfort of your armchair at home? It is not an onerous job and can also be done from church if you prefer. If you think you might like to help, please contact Maria Oliver ([email protected] or text me 07732233618).

THE BROOMHILL FESTIVAL COMMITTEE is about to start planning Festival 2022.  We would really welcome some new members.  If you would like to join the committee – or if you would like to organise an event – contact the Chair, Frances Gray at [email protected] for more details.

SAFEGUARDING OUR COMMUNITY – In order to safeguard our community on zoom, we will no longer be admitting people we are unable to identify either by their name or visually via Zoom to our services. If you are unable to change your name on your device, and do not wish to have your camera turned on so we can see that we know you, please e-mail [email protected] telling me the name, number or letter you are entering under so we don’t exclude people we do know.

WE ARE PRAYING FOR YOU During morning and evening prayer, the clergy and pastoral care team pray for each one of you. If you have a specific prayer request for the pastoral care team or for intercessions at services, please let us know by e-mailing [email protected] or by contacting one of the clergy. Specific requests will remain on the intercessory prayer list for 4 weeks. If the request needs to remain in the prayers for longer, please have a conversation with one of the clergy team. Thank you.
