BROOMHALL TOGETHERA new group for women starts on Friday 12 May at the Broomhall Centre – learn DIY skills, sewing and intercultural crafts. On Saturdays there will be the opportunity to learn Somali dance! All women welcome. See flyers on card stall.
ALSO two community events: Tuesday May 30, a litter-picking session with police and housing rep’s – assessing some of the difficult issues facing Broomhall residents at the moment. On Thursday 1 June a community consultation and open day – local churches and community rooms will be open, fire officers, health workers and police, housing association reps and local councillors will be available for residents to meet and talk about local issues. Fire engines and appliances will be on various sites too! Sue
BROOMHALL CENTRE MANAGEMENT BOARD Is looking for skills and expertise: 1. To shadow/support our treasurer/finance officer Jeremy Ritchie. 2 Management support for the Homework Club, to include recruitment and light supervision of a new worker, updating our policies especially around safeguarding, meeting with a “reference group” (from volunteers, parents and older children) once a term to reflect on any problems and develop new ideas.
