CHRISTIAN AID WEEK is here! From TODAY to Saturday 19th. There’s lots happening. Sheffield Cathedral has the i witness exhibition featuring images and artwork from Haiti. Also the Gareth Davies-Jones concert on the Thursday. See the details on the noticeboard in the foyer. Helen Hillman

THE SANCTUARY in Chapel Walk. Thanks to all from St Mark’s who voted in the Peoples’ Project. We were successful and the Sanctuary will be getting nearly £50,000 to support its work over the coming year. David P

END HUNGER CAMPAIGN The PCC has endorsed the following pledge: We commit to do what we can to end hunger locally, and to call on the UK government to play its part in ending hunger in the UK.’ St Mark’s supports both the S2 & S6 food banks. David P

PENTECOST NEXT SUNDAY There is no 10am at St Mark’s but a joint service with our ecumenical partners CTBB at The Beacon, Broomhill (next to Oxfam).  The Service starts at 10.30am and is followed by a short CTBB AGM and a shared lunch – we have been invited to bring cold savouries to share. The Revd Will Fletcher will take on the role of moderator of CTBB from Kim Willis. It would be great to have as many people there as possible to celebrate the wonderful work the The Beacon, St Andrews and St Marks achieve together. Kim
