DAMNED BAD PLACE SHEFFIELD David Price’s play about Sheffield just after the French Revolution will be performed in the Upper Room at 6pm on Sat 30 Nov as a ‘play in a day’ with a cast drawn from the congregation. Please come. Collection for church funds and ASSIST. David Price

HUSTINGS FOR 2019 GENERAL ELECTION A hustings has been arranged at 7 pm on Fri 29 Nov at St Mark’s. We are inviting candidates for Sheffield Central Constituency as Broomhill and Broomhall are part of that constituency.  So far Paul Blomfield (Labour), Colin Ross (Liberal Democrat) & Alison Teal (Green) are participating. Other parties have yet to announce their candidates. David Price

MONEY RAISED AT ST MARK’S During 2019 there have been lots of collections for many different charities. So far these have raised a total of £3,186.30 (plus some gift aid for some of the charities). The largest was for Christian Aid’s harvest appeal that raised £754 (plus gift aid). Thank you. David Armstrong

HOW CAN WE HELP HOMELESS PEOPLE? Many of us are asking this question, whether we see someone in a shop doorway, sleeping in St Mark’s grounds or coming into church – what can we do for the best?  The Cathedral Archer Project, Framework, the local police and Help Us Help will be coming to St Mark’s on TUESDAY DEC 3 at 7.30pm to help us think this through. Please let other local people know if they are concerned too. Sue
