PLEDGE SUNDAY NEXT WEEK Next week our new Treasurer, David Armstrong, will be presenting the church finances and encouraging our continued support.  This is also a time when we appreciate the number of HOURS people give to the church in different ways.  Thank you to all who volunteer in any way, including as part of the finance team.  Sue

DONATE OLD LAPTOPS to support schools in South Africa – Tyume Valley Schools, a local charity supporting schools in remote parts of the Eastern Cape, recently had some laptops stolen. ASSIST NIGHT SHELTER Do you know anyone who could help with the ASSIST night shelter 1 or 2 nights a month. They are urgently in need of more volunteers to keep the shelter open and help destitute asylum seekers: volunteer@assistsheffield.org.uk

RED CROSS BIG GIVE Christmas Appeal – between 12noon 27 Nov & 12noon 4 Dec all donations to the British Red Cross on their website – www.redcross.org.uk/biggive will be match funded, so donations will be worth DOUBLE.  Please consider giving, all money goes towards their Disaster Fund.  Lucy Gray

ADVENT HOSPITALITY 2nd Dec onwards nativity figures of Mary & Joseph will be travelling around the parish and congregation again in our POSADA (travelling crib) – a lovely way to get to know people and to give and receive hospitality. NEW for 2018 – a knitted nativity set! We do have several sets of figures so that everyone can join in. Sign up sheets available next Sunday. Sarah C

CHRISTMAS CHOIR Hi from the new Director of Music. The choir’s making a start on their Advent and Christmas repertoire. If you fancy having a sing and think that now might be a good time to give it a go, I’d love to meet you.
