90 NOT OUT! Congratulations to Roy Godden on reaching his 90th birthday.  We wish him many happy returns of the day.

LIVING EUCHARIST Ian has preached the first of 3 sermons on the meanings of the Eucharist and what it means to be a Eucharistic community.  Next instalments on 18/5 and 1/6.

ASCENSION DAY A special service on Thursday 29 May at 7.30 pm, followed by a ‘Christian Aid’ buffet supper hosted by the International Committee.  Tickets: £5 waged; £3 concessions. A short film, ‘Somos Wichi,’ about the lives of an Argentinian community struggling to maintain their unique identity and culture, will be shown.

GARDEN PARTY 14 JUNE  Jane Padget and Briony Tayler are co-ordinating this event. If you’d like to be part of this exciting extravaganza, we need volunteers to act as helpers and stallholders. No prior experience necessary! Please sign up on the sheet, or speak to Jane or Briony.

BIBLE STUDIES Robert Beard is leading a series of bible studies engaging with life’s big questions and dilemmas on Sundays at 6.00 pm in the lounge.  See the leaflets at the back of church for dates and subjects. Everyone invited.    Please read the passages beforehand!

20th ANNIVERSARY of women’s ordination to the priesthood will be celebrated here on Sunday 15 June at 10.00 am when Sue will preside and Rev’d Sarah Hills, Bishop’s Adviser in Pastoral Care and Reconciliation, will preach.

The Diocese will also be celebrating on Saturday 14th June at 11.00am at the cathedral.  The preacher will be the Venerable Jane Sinclair.  All welcome.

THURSDAY DISCUSSION GROUP Join us on Thursdays from 11.15-12.15 to discuss Poetry (1st Thursday of the month), Bible Study (3rd Thursday of the month) and “Sharing our Journey” (2nd and 4th Thursday of the month). All are welcome and no preparation is necessary. “Sharing our Journey” is a way of sharing, listening and reflecting on our Life journey together, so just bring yourself. Coffee/tea and biscuits provided.

SEMINAR AND LIBRARY EVENING will be happening on Wednesday 21st May, 6.30pm for a 7.00pm start in the lounge. It is with author and poet Adrian Scott, and the title is “Writing as a Way of Allowing the Soul to Speak – The Poetry of an Ordinary Life”.  It will draw upon two of his poetry books – “The Call of the Unwritten” and “Arriving in Magic”.  Please see flyers in the library.  All welcome.
