AMNESTY FOR BROOMHILL Over the centuries, Sheffield is well known for its dissidents and troublemakers campaigning for citizens’ rights. As part of the Broomhill Festival, David Price will talk on ‘Human rights – campaigning in 19th Century Sheffield’ on Wednesday, 11 June 2014 at 7.00 pm in St Mark’s Upper room. Donations of £2 on the door. Any surplus will be shared between the Festival charities and the Sheffield Amnesty Group, which is organising this event.

|20th ANNIVERSARY of women’s ordination to the priesthood will be celebrated here on Sunday 15 June at 10.00 am when Sue will preside and Rev’d Dr Sarah Hills, recently appointed Canon for Reconciliation at Coventry Cathedral, will preach. The Diocese will also be celebrating on Saturday 14 June at 11.00 am at the cathedral when the preacher will be the Venerable Jane Sinclair. All welcome.
