EILEEN STAMPER Eileen’s funeral will be at St Mark’s on Thurs 18 Jan at 2.30pm followed by cremation at Hutcliffe Wood. Refreshments will be served in the lounge following the service in church.  If you have a memory or thought towards her eulogy, please let me know by 14 Jan. Thanks. Shan.

FLOWER ROTA It is flower rota time again – I’m presuming you want your same slots? If not let me know soon. There are some free slots if anyone would like to donate flowers for a Sunday, perhaps in memory of a loved-one. Mary-Jane.

LENT 2018. We are planning something slightly different – inviting you to join a home group based on the BBC TV series, “Broken”.  A drama following the life of a Catholic priest serving an urban parish with many social issues.  Each week we shall watch an episode and consider, “where is hope to be found?” Flyers & sign-up sheets available on Sun 21 If you can host/facilitate please contact Sarah R in the office.

 SHEFFIELD NHS CHANGES Major changes are planned for Sheffield NHS ‘urgent care’ (care that is ‘urgent’ but not ’emergency’). Both the Walk-In Centre on Broad Lane and the Minor Injuries Unit at the RHH are due to close. ACCOMMODATION URGENTLY NEEDED The arrangement generously offered to Fatih, Nantanet and baby Rodi is coming to an end and all concerned are looking for more suitable housing. PLEDGE RESPONSES FOR 2018 – Regular, pledged giving is the best way for St Mark’s to manage our finances.   So far only 54 pledge forms have been returned so, please return your 2018 pledge form as soon as possible (even if you are unable to increase your giving).  Packs (including a pledge form) are available in the foyer. Please talk to David Ryder or Judith Pitchforth, treasurers, or to clergy.
