BACH FOR NEPAL CONCERT A concert of music by J S Bach will be held at St Mark’s, on Friday 3 November at 8.00 p.m., in aid of PHASE Worldwide, the medical charity working in the remotest areas of Nepal.

FUND RAISING BY EMILY THATCHER: A COFFEE & CAKE MORNING will be held at St Mark’s on 25 November at 10am to raise funds for a colleague whose family were severely injured in the Manchester Terror attack and will need their home adapting for when they leave hospital. I would be very grateful for any support in either baking, setting up or just to see you there .Please contact me at emily_woofy@hotmail.co.uk

ALL SOULS COMMEMORATION SERVICE this year will be held at 6pm on Sunday 29 October – please pass the word around as all are welcome to come and remember loved ones.  A list is available at the back of church for you to write the names of those you would like to be remembered aloud. DO YOU SOMETIMES STRUGGLE TO HEAR THE SERVICES AT ST MARK’S? If so, please talk to or email  Tanya (tanyakralph@hotmail.com)  or Tim (caretaker@stmarks.co.uk) about your difficulties as we are undertaking a review of the current system. Details of what you struggle to hear, where you sit in church, if you find particular speakers difficult or when particular sound desk operators are on duty,  all info would be appreciated. Tanya

EXPLORING FAITH a new course for all who would like to consider their faith in more depth, is starting on Mon Nov 6 at 7.30 pm and will run for 6 weeks.  Whether you are new to faith, new to St Mark’s, thinking about confirmation or considering your vocation, this group will be a good opportunity to learn and grow together.  Please sign-up at the back of church,.  Sue and Sarah

RACHEL MANN will be leading a session for St Mark’s, CRC and the new “Open Sheffield” network on Saturday Dec 2 entitled, ‘Celebrating Our Gifts: The joy of being Christian & LGBTQIA.’  She will also be preaching at the 10am Service on Advent Sunday the next day.  Canon Rachel Mann is an Anglican priest, writer and poet. A former poet-in-residence at Manchester Cathedral, her memoir of growing up trans, Dazzling Darkness, was a bestseller. Her latest book is Fierce Imaginings: The Great War, Ritual, Memory & God.  Bookings will open soon.  More info to follow. Sue
