PLEDGES FOR 2016 – We are grateful to have received 72 responses to date with net total extra giving promised of approximately £1,000 (including recovered tax).   However, so that we can be sure of the total level of the Church’s income for this year it is important that we receive back more pledge forms and, if you are a tax payer, the yellow Gift Aid declaration form.    If you have not already done so, please therefore return your pledge form and Gift Aid declaration to Judith PItchforth as soon as possible.  Spare Pledge Appeal packs including a pledge form are available at the back of the Church if you need one.   Thanks.  David Ryder, Treasurer.

LENT 2016 Thank you to everyone who has offered to host or lead a group this year. The sign-up sheets will be at the back of church for the next few weeks.  The course is based around Rowan Williams’ accessible commentary “Meeting God in Mark” and it is recommended that participants either buy a copy or borrow one from the library.  We are buying copies in bulk which you will be able to purchase at the reduced price of £7.00.  Please note on the sheet if you would like to buy a book this way or borrow one from the library.  Although the book is the basis of the course there is a real emphasis this year on sharing our own connection with Mark’s Gospel so please don’t be put off if you don’t have much appetite for reading.
