EXPLORING FAITH is a new 6 week course for all who would like to consider their faith in more depth. Starts TOMORROW Mon Nov 6 at 7.30 pm, meeting in the Lounge. Whether you are new to faith, new to St Mark’s, thinking about confirmation or considering your vocation, this group will be a good opportunity to learn and grow together. JENNY CARPENTER would be delighted to see friends from St. Marks at the Service of Thanksgiving for the life of her late husband, Joe, at The Beacon Methodist Church on Wed 8 November at 2pm. This follows on from a committal service (family and close friends only) which will have just taken place at Hutcliffe Wood.

PILGRIM GROUP now meets monthly on the 2nd Thursday of the month so will meet on Thurs 9th Nov. We listen and learn from one another using the CofE Pilgrim booklets as a guide for conversation. Interested in joining? See Sue/Sarah

ARMISTICE DAY OBSERVANCE The War Memorial tablets from the old St Andrew’s Parish Church have been installed in a new, specially commissioned frame inside Shirley House (31 Psalter Lane), next door to St Andrew’s LEP Church Psalter Lane and will be dedicated on Sat 11th Nov at 11am.

SUNDAY LUNCHES on Sunday,12th Nov, and 3rd Dec. Please sign up if you can bring a soup or a pudding, but all are welcome to stay. Briony.

PATRICIA SIMEON was released from Yarl’s Wood Detention Centre following a successful campaign. Thank you to all who signed the petition. We need to keep her (and so many others like her) in our thoughts and prayers as she continues to seek asylum in this country. Sue H

A COFFEE & CAKE MORNING at St Mark’s on 25 November at 10am will raise funds for a colleague whose family were severely injured in the Manchester Terror attack and will need their home adapting for when they leave hospital.
