In this address to the CRCOnline conference held in October 2021 on the theme Worship in a Digital Age, Stephen Burns looks at the nature of liturgy itself as we grapple with the practicalities of being liturgical in this digital world into which we have been thrown by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Stephen Burns is Professor of Liturgical and Practical Theology at the University of Divinity in Melbourne, Australia. Born and brought up in the UK, Stephen has had an impressive career in academia following time spent in parish ministry in the Durham area. As you might expect of someone who whose chair in is both Liturgy and Practical Theology, he is interested not just in theory but in liturgical renewal and practice
