Home Donations
St Mark’s congregation financial giving supports the work of the Home Donations group. We use these funds to provide small grants to charities in Sheffield who make a practical difference and tackle social justice. We are supporting the following groups and charities.
City of Sanctuary (Asylum & Refugee Centre) – for continued work on the centre, and resources for refugees.
Citizens Advice Sheffield – project to help people in poverty tell their stories in order to promote equality and better understanding.
Broomhall Girls & Boys clubs – funding of youth workers for both clubs.
Flourish – to assist with a re-location for this Sheffield charity which produces a mental health guide and runs gardening projects.
St Wilfrid’s Centre – Supporting a growth in demand for services for this day centre for homeless and excluded people.
SAVTE (Sheffield Association of Voluntary Teaching of English) – funding for online material to help Sheffield newcomers access local services (eg. transport).
Broomhall Centre – assistance with training for this local community centre.
